Is BookChequer free to use?
Creating an account and browsing books is completely free. We only charge small fees on successful sales to cover payment processing and platform maintenance.
What types of books can I buy and sell?
You can buy and sell most types of books including textbooks, novels, non-fiction, children's books, and specialty books. We don't allow damaged, illegal, or inappropriate content.
Buying Books
How do I search for books?
Use the search bar to find books by title, author, ISBN, or keywords. You can also browse by category or check out our newest listings page.
What do the book condition ratings mean?
Like New: Book appears unread with no visible wear
Very Good: Minor shelf wear, tight binding, clean pages
Good: Some wear but still intact and readable
Acceptable: Well-worn but readable, may have highlighting or notes
How do I purchase a book?
Add books to your cart, review your order, and proceed to checkout. You'll pay securely through our platform, and we'll notify the seller to ship your book.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods through our secure payment processor.
Selling Books
How do I list a book for sale?
Go to the "Sell Books" page, scan or enter the ISBN, add photos and description, set your price, and publish your listing. Our system will suggest competitive pricing based on market data.
How do you suggest pricing for my books?
Our system analyzes current market prices, book condition, demand, and historical sales data to suggest competitive prices that help your books sell quickly while maximizing your profit.
What fees do you charge sellers?
We charge a small percentage fee only when your book sells successfully. This covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and customer support. Listing books is always free.
When do I get paid?
Payment is processed after the buyer confirms receipt of the book or after a specified period if no issues are reported. Funds typically arrive in your account within 3-5 business days.

Who handles shipping?
Sellers are responsible for packaging and shipping books to buyers. We provide shipping labels and guidelines to ensure safe delivery.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated based on book weight, dimensions, and destination. Costs are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
